believe that the species discrimination against these creatures is strong.
Society views sharks in a negative way because of numerous human-shark attacks.
Hence, people most likely want to eliminate these species as much as possible
to avoid more attacks. The majority of society wants sharks to be dead in order
to protect people from shark attacks. According to ichthyologists at the
Florida Museum of Natural History’s International Shark Attack File, people
have a better chance of getting killed by a bee, wasp, or snake in the United
States. Also, in the year 2000, statistics show that 1 in 11.5 million shark
attacks occurred and that there were 0 in 264.1 million shark attack deaths,
meaning that no one died that year of any shark attacks in the United States.
